Oneida County Volunteer

Firefighters Association

The Association is an organization that represents all the volunteer fire fighters, fire departments and emergency services from Oneida County and neighboring counties.   Each organization or department may appoint a delegate and/or alternate to attend county meetings. Those in good standing, (dues current), shall be entitled to vote, receive awards during the convention parade and present family members for scholarships.

Our organization is one where you can meet old friends and make new ones.  It’s a place to pass on your knowledge and expertise as well as consume new ideas and knowledge from your brother and sister first responders.

The advancement and protection of the interests of emergency responders through legislation is an essential part of the county organization.

Through our team approach, our members can discuss problems faced by our membership, arrive at solutions and build a united group for what we feel is right.

MEETINGS

The Oneida County Volunteer Firefighters Association meets the Third Thursday in January, March, May, September and November, at various fire stations across the county.

The May meeting is the elections of Officers.

The Annual Meeting & Convention is held during the summer.

DUES

Dues for membership are

Twenty-Five ($25) Dollars

and helps support our many

programs and committees.

MISSION STATEMENT

The object of this Association shall be for the preservation of life and property, to promote the interest of accident prevention and fire prevention, and as aid to the accomplishment of these objects, to increase and maintain the interest and attachment of its members and to coordinate the county-wide efforts of the Volunteer Firemen’s organizations in connection with mutual aid, and to conduct and sponsor county-wide conventions and meetings of Volunteer Firefighters organizations, to promote mutual friendship and loyalty among its members.
