Welcome to the Oneida County Volunteer Firemen's Association

The Oneida County Volunteer Firemen's Association is dedicated to the preservation of life and property through accident prevention, fire prevention, and emergency response coordination. Our mission is to support and unify the volunteer fire departments across Oneida County, fostering collaboration, training, and mutual aid to enhance public safety.

As an organization, we strive to:

• Promote fire prevention and safety education
• Strengthen the bonds of friendship and loyalty among our members
• Coordinate county-wide mutual aid efforts
• Host conventions, meetings, and training opportunities for volunteer firefighters

Through our collective efforts, we ensure that the brave men and women of our volunteer fire service have the resources, training, and support needed to protect our communities.

Dear OCVFA Members,

I hope you’re all having a great summer and staying safe. I’m starting to put together our agenda for the September 17th OCVFA meeting at Clayville, and I’d love to include any updates, upcoming events, classes, or trainings your departments want shared.

Please send anything my way by September 1, 2026 so I can make sure it’s included.

I normally wouldn’t send this request out quite this early, but as some of you may know, I’m getting married on August 8th and will be out of the country until August 16th. After the meeting, I’ll be putting together the newsletter for everyone to share with their departments — including a recap of recent happenings and a look at what’s coming up.

Thank you all for helping me stay ahead of the curve during this exciting (and slightly chaotic!) time.
